"no man is an island"

We are beings in a mysterious relationship where each AND ALL of us, with God and each other, become as one even as we each become more ourselves (unique and distinct) we become more one. “No man is an island”. We are truly bound to one another in union, in “cords of lovingkindness,” though we hardly realize the extent of these bonds. Somehow we believe the lie—rarely consciously—that we are in fact “individuals”. We are not individuals, that is, we do not exist apart or alone from anyone else
