Questions for fall..
How did pumpkins (and pumpkin carving) become ubiquitous with October?
Why is trick-or-treat still the description of the one time of year it is socially acceptable to go to people's doors for the sole purpose of soliciting candy? If no one is going to trick, that only leaves treats. Can we agree that a new name needs to be found, or maybe start giving treats to all these poor people who spent all their money at Costco to buy candy for a bunch of unnecessarily-sugared small children?
I realize these are completely pointless questions, but I would love to hear your thoughts.
